Bird-ID Lite

Welcome, Pioneers and Bird Lovers

Birding connects people and nature all over the world. Whether you enjoy watching birds in your backyard, setting up feeders and birdbaths, joining bird outings, participating in eBird surveys, or belonging to Audubon chapters or other conservation groups — you are part of a global community of bird enthusiasts.

If even a small percentage of Pi Network Pioneers are birders, that could represent thousands — or even millions — of people who care deeply about birds and their habitats. Yet today, no major birding or conservation organization accepts Pi cryptocurrency.

It’s time to change that.

Birding is a multi-billion-dollar industry, and Pi can become a meaningful part of it. As Pioneers, we can help move bird conservation and bird-related commerce into the Pi economy by:

When verified non-profit (KYB) bird conservation organizations begin accepting Pi, this app will donate 50% of all Pi it receives to those organizations.

Together, we can make Pi the number-one cryptocurrency supporting bird conservation worldwide. This is only the beginning — with your help, it can truly take flight.

How the Quiz Works

Drawing on trusted resources like eBird and Audubon, this quiz invites you to explore the amazing diversity of birds around us. Questions highlight identification tips, behavior, habitat, migration, and conservation stories from across the globe.

We publish fresh quiz content every two weeks: new regions to explore, spotlights on rare species, and features that highlight endangered birds and the threats they face. As you test your skills and learn new facts, you’ll also see practical ways to help—log your sightings on eBird, connect with local Audubon chapters, and support conservation partners.

To take part, there is a small entry contribution of 0.1 Pi per quiz. This helps cover the work of creating and hosting the quiz and, more importantly, begins building a Pi fund dedicated to bird conservation.

My commitment is that when verified non-profit bird conservation organizations begin accepting Pi, 50% of all Pi collected through this app will be donated directly to those KYB-approved groups. The remaining portion helps keep the project running and growing.

This app is about action, not just answers. Together we can understand, appreciate, and protect our feathered friends—one question at a time. With millions of potential birders among Pi Network Pioneers, we have a unique chance to bring Pi cryptocurrency to the forefront of global bird conservation.

How to play

Start the quiz then identify as many birds as you can. Click on a bird name to select your answer. In the results section at the end of the quiz check your answers, learn a little more about the birds and you can choose to tip Pi to a bird conservation group that can accept Pi. Enjoy learning and discovering new species!

Why It Matters

Bird populations are under pressure—habitat loss, collisions, invasive species, and climate change all play a role. Studies estimate North America alone has lost roughly 3 billion birds since 1970. BirdID-Lite’s mission is to help people learn and care—and to support the groups doing the hard work on the ground.

Pledge: BirdID-Lite will donate 50% of the Pi received through the app to a verified bird conservation nonprofit that accepts Pi and has completed KYB (Know Your Business) on the Pi platform.
